Japanese Pumpkin (kabocha)
Background:
Momack has been exporting Tasmanian Kabocha for the last thirteen years. Kabocha is essentially not consumed domestically, and is only exported to Japan. Kabocha cannot be grown on the mainland for Japan due to Japanese quarantine regulations.
Production Area:
Our onions are grown in the rich volcanic soils of Scottsdale in the NE of Tasmania. Scottsdale is approx. 60km north east of Launceston.

Our Kabocha is exported under the following size:
Packing: Kabocha is packed for export in approx. 550kg bins.
Availability:
Early April to mid May.
